The First International Congress on Tibetan Medicine provided the impetus for this community information network to keep scholars, researchers, practitioners, patients, and enthusiasts of Tibetan Medicine in contact and to continue the dialogue started at the conference.

This site is maintained by the Alternative Medicine Foundation, Inc. which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to providing impartial information resources about alternative medicine and traditional systems of medicine, and to promote novel ways to blend ancient practice and modern science for the promotion of health. The foundation's work is supported by generous donations from sponsors.

The foundation has been fortunate to have the services of Dr. Nyima Youdon Namseling to help build the information resources and to answer your questions about Tibetan Medicine - see Ask Doctor Namseling. The later questions have been answered by Dr. Namgyal Tenzin. There is also an international Advisory Board to guide this collaborative effort. We welcome any additional information and ideas from visitors to the site. Please contact the Information Desk.

This site was also made possible by generous donations from people who attended the Congress. The Alternative Medicine Foundation has pledged to maintain the site. Ultimately the site will be linked to a Tibetan Medicine subset of HerbMed® an interactive herbal database.

If you would like to help with the support and development of this project, please contact the Information Desk.
